Willow's New Payment Feature

To our incredible loan officer partners,

2025 has been a growth year for Willow and we are excited to announce a new payment feature giving you the flexibility and ease of paying processing fees that are not being charged to the borrower on the Closing Disclosure. This will make it easier for you pay processing fees when loans fund. Starting on December 15th, 2025, we will require our clients have a valid credit card on file. Without a valid credit card, clients will not be able to access the New Loan Submission screen on our portal.

If you request our processing fee be disclosed and paid by the borrower, this will not impact you. When selecting "LO Paid" or "Split Payment" and enter the split amounts for our processing fee, we will now have a seamless payment process - clients will have 3 business days to pay with any account they like, using Zelle or credit card, and then after the 3 day period, we charge the credit card on file to make sure there are no late payments or interest penalties. If you currently have outstanding invoices, those will be automatically settled for you.

From a security standpoint, your credit card information is not accessible by your processor or any of our staff. It is stored directly within our third party service, Stripe, and not in our Willow Portal. Consequently, we will not be able to use this stored credit card to make other purchases related to the loan transaction such as appraisals, condo certs, etc. It is strictly for the payment of our processing fee.
